GFI Software announced today that it has acquired Sunbelt Software and specifically its VIPRE® product suite. The acquisition will allow GFI to merge VIPRE technology into GFI’s email security and web security solutions group, and will provide GFI with new security products consisting of world-class and innovative technology.

The VIPRE Enterprise product line provides seamless, tightly-integrated endpoint security that delivers antivirus and antispyware protection, desktop firewall, and malicious website filtering technologies to protect against the ever-changing and sophisticated wave of malware in a comprehensive, highly efficient manner.
